At the beginning of the year I began to make some very big decisions that, over the course of the last six months, have accelerated back to my childhood home. I have returned to the county of big skies and arable fields in which was born. As a mother, as a wife, and as an artist this trajectory will impact enormously on the next steps that I take.
For the last eight and a half years I had worked enormously hard to integrate myself into the daily life of beautiful Falmouth town in Cornwall and it was a very big wrench both emotionally and creatively to detach myself from that place. But as I consider the next moves my Town Crier may take I already have other characters insisting upon my attention, moving me on to new (and new iterations of old) projects. Boudicca eyeballs me purposefully across the roman city walls in Colchester and an Essex witch whispers through my window in the cool night air.
So keep a weather eye out for these next steps for they promise to be very interesting indeed...
